MAYBELLINE COLOR TATTOO METALS IN INKED IN PINK

Maybelline Color Tattoos have got to be some of the best makeup products ever. First, they're so smooth and long lasting, they come in crazy cool colors, AND they're cheap. I was gifted four (4) different shades of the Color Tattoos for Christmas from my beautiful friends Christine and Nani (love you ladies!), and the first one I'm going to share with you is from the Color Tattoo Metals Collection - Inked in Pink
This shade is gorgeous. Inked in Pink is a warm metallic rose shade that goes so perfectly with the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette (read my thoughts here). The formula is super smooth and creamy, and it's best to apply with your fingers so that the warmth makes blending absolutely no issue. I LOVE this stuff. I like to use it as a base under the rose gold shades in the UD Naked 3 palette, but feel free to experiment!
I had a really hard time getting the swatch to show up due to the metallic finish, but you get the idea. Gorgeous. You can pick it up for around $7.00 at your local drugstore. Ulta is having a buy 1 get 1 50% off sale right now!

Do you have any Maybelline Color Tattoos? What do you think of them? What are your favorites?

URBAN DECAY NAKED 3 | MY THOUGHTS

Yes, I know the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette is everywhere, but I still want to share my thoughts, with you. Straight up, this palette is beautiful. I'm not a fan of the "wavy" texture of the case, but it's not a deal breaker. I honestly thought...what were they thinking? Still, it's what's inside that really matters!

It has a nice combination of neutral rose gold shades that I am in love with. Some people don't like using pink-toned shadows on their eyelids, because sometimes it can make you look bruised. However, I think that if you stabilize it with a solid black eyeliner around your eyes and a volumizing mascara for your lashes, pink shades are really easy to pull off.

It's a beautiful palette, I must say once again, and I really do love it.12 full-sized shadows for $52, you really can't go wrong. It would be nice of Urban Decay came up with a great all matte palette though. That would be something, right?

Do you have the Urban Decay Naked 3? What are your thoughts on it?

NAKED PRINCESS NAKED SHINE LIP GLOSS | REVIEW AND SWATCHES

Lip gloss is not my thing. However, when I was asked to try the Naked Princess beauty products, I chose the Naked Princess Naked Shine Lip Gloss, because I was quite enchanted by the packaging. The swirly florals got me good. I chose two shades out of the six neutral nudes in the Naked Shine line, and here are my thoughts.
Naked Princess is a luxury beauty and boudoir line that specializes in luxurious bath & beauty products and also sensual loungewear and lingerie. Also, they are cruelty free. You can read more about Naked Princess here.

The Naked Shine Lip Gloss comes in 6 different nude shades. I chose Barely Rose and Barely Coral to try out. The packaging is a thick clear tube that's either made of glass or acrylic. I can't tell, but it is rather weighty. The lid/handle is a sleek pewter shade holding a standard doefoot applicator on the end.

The formula is smooth and isn't sticky, which is an ultimate plus for me. They can be applied in a thin layer for sheer color or layered on for a more intense color payoff. The Naked Shine glosses contain oils, beeswax, and other ingredients that provide a gentle lip treatment as well as a gentle lip plumping action. I did notice a slight tingling feeling while wearing these, but it wasn't at all irritating on my lips. Both glosses smell of cocoa and vanilla, and I quite like it to be honest. Smells delicious.

The shades are true to their names. Barely Coral is a sheer pinky-coral shade, and Barely Rose is a sheer dusty rose with tiny shimmer particles that don't translate as shimmery or gritty on the lips. What you get is a sheer wash of pretty color.
The only downside of these Naked Princess Naked Shine Lip Glosses is in fact the price. As it is a luxury beauty line, the price comes at a steep $26 each here. Well, maybe now you can add it to your Christmas/Birthday wish list! :)

Have you tried or heard of the Naked Princess line before? What do you look for in a luxury lip gloss?

COVERGIRL TRUBLEND FOUNDATION

CoverGirl TruBlend Foundation had a makeover, so the old bottles went on sale here, and I decided to pick up a bottle and try it out. Finding a shade that matches me in a drugstore is almost impossible. I kind of hate that we can't pop the bottles open (usually) and test out the shades. Almost always do I pick a shade that's too light or too dark. This time, I went too dark and got the shade 420, Creamy Natural, lol.
But still, I must give a proper review for this foundation so here it goes.
Formula-wise, TruBlend is so smooth and creamy with a dewy finish. It applies like a dream and sits prettily on my face until I wash it off. Again, I always set with powder, because of the humid climate I live in. I think this foundation would be great for dry skin or combination skin. If you have oily skin like I do, you'll want to set with a powder to take away some of the dewiness. You can get it for around $8.00 or less at your local drugstore.
I'd definitely consider repurchasing this in my proper shade, if only I could figure out which one that was. For now, I'll wear it, just because I really love the formula. I'll be a bit brown for this formula... yeah I would. Kidding. I'll adjust the shade with a lighter concealer or something. I'll make it work.

Have you tried this foundation before? What drugstore foundation are you currently loving?
