AUTUMN BEAUTY AND FASHION PICKS | ASOS

Autumn Beauty and Fashion Picks - ASOS. I'm not really a trend follower of any sort. I kind of wear what I want whenever I want, but if my wallet spewed out outrageous amounts of cash, I would definitely be a lot more interested in the current trends. Right now, everything autumn is in, right? So, I put together a little look book of the things I've been craving for from ASOS, using some discount codes to accommodate my budget.

While I have shopped online a few times, their prices are usually pretty intimidating, especially on products I really want (go figure). So I take to the interweb to find some killer coupon/discount codes. Normally, I just search for a store followed by "coupon/discount code" at the end of it and cross my fingers. I always get some sort of results from Retail Me Not or Coupons.com. Sometimes, I get really awesome codes, but there are some dud codes as well. I found CupoNation, and they have some pretty decent discount codes and specials on there. If you like to shop ASOS, iHerb, Beauty Bay, CupoNation has great codes for those shops as well. While creating my ASOS Fall Look Book, I did manage to get the prices down pretty nicely, so that was a total score. Saving money is always a good thing, plus I didn't have to deal with dud or expired codes (another frustration).

FORGIVENESS IS HARD | SUNDAY SIT DOWN

Forgiveness doesn't come easily to most people, especially me. I've always had a hard time forgiving people and trusting them again, and even if I do end up finding a way to forgive them, the trust is gone forever. In my years, I have had to deal with terrible people and horrific situations. It's not really in me to forgive. I've been hurt too many times, betrayed too many times, and I just can't bring myself to trust people, most especially after they've gone and thrown that trust out the window before. Sorry. I'm not a fool.

I should probably forgive them all anyway. Not for them (hell no), but for myself, my peace of mind, and my sanity. You see, if I were to forgive them, I wouldn't have to worry about it anymore. I would be able to move on with my life and live the happy, stress free life that I want to live. Forgiveness is the key. Just let it go. If you believe in karma, then you'll believe that they will get theirs someday. So just forgive them. You don't have to ever trust them again, but just forgive them and put it out of your mind. Anything they've lost is their own problem now.

FRESH FALL MAKEUP

Fresh Fall Makeup. I've been way too lazy to wear makeup most days, and I'm going to blame it on the weather. It's either pouring rain or it's blazing hot, and I'm just not feeling it. However, today, I sat myself down in front of my beauty stash and decided to put some of it on my face. May as well use it, right? I came up with an easy fresh look that is really easy to replicate with whatever kind of makeup you have. Really, piece of cake. Speaking of cake, I had some red velvet cake, taro cheesecake, New York cheesecake, and a nice tiramisu today. It was delish!

FRESH FALL MAKEUP

For this fresh look, I used Lancome Photogenic Lumessence Foundation in the shade Buff 4 to even out my complexion and added a touch of concealer to cover any dark areas and blemishes. Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer is a firm favorite, but you know that already. I set everything with the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light to keep it all in place and add a soft pretty glow. A touch of Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Adored to the sides of my cheeks, some ELF Eyebrow Kit to define the brows, and the face is done.

For the eyes, I used a couple eyelid primers to keep my eyeshadow from shifting, then took the Estee Lauder Raisins Duo and brushed the dark raisin shade all over the lid, a peachy nude transition color through the crease and the light satin pink from the Raisins Duo on the center of the eyelid to add some shimmer. To define my eyes, I used the Balm Schwing Liquid Liner and Maybelline Mega Plush waterproof mascara in Very Black. 

I do like my bright lips, but I thought I would go the nude route today with a pretty pink nude, Milani Color Statement Lipstick in Nude Creme.

YSL Rouge Volupte "11" - Creamy, Bright plum pink
YSL Rouge Volupte Lipsticks are available at department stores as well as online for around $34. Considering the amazing pigmentation and formula of these lipsticks, they are well worth the hefty price tag. That packaging!

Rimmel London Kate Moss "10" - Creamy, glossy, orange-toned red
Rimmel Kate Moss Lipsticks can still be found in your local drugstores both in the US and UK, with prices around $6-8 per lipstick. 

Milani Color Statement "Sangria" - Creamy, satin, plum rose
Milani Color Statement Lipsticks are my favorite drugstore lipstick available at US drugstores and online. The formula is amazing with a wide range of color choices at a price of $5-7.

FORMULA X NAIL NAIL POLISH INFATUATED | NOTW

Formula X Infatuated. The name of this gorgeous nail polish pretty much sums up my adoration for the minty family. I know I said I was delving into fall shades, but I have a good excuse, I do! A friend of mine came back from her California vacation and brought me back a couple Formula X nail polishes, so of course, I have to use them, right? Right! First one to hit my nails is Infatuated which is a gorgeous pale minty blue. Ahhhh!

The formula of Infatuated is tricky, because I had high expectations - like really high, so of course I was a little let down. First coat is streaky, but the second coat smooths it all out. It dries smooth and gel-like with a shiny finish. 

The one thing that really impressed me was the polish's ability to "heal" itself. Let me explain. I finished painting my nails, top coat and everything and went to go take photos. I bumped my nail into something and that created a hole and bunching up on that nail. I pressed down on the bunched up part to attempt to smooth it out, and then applied more Formula X Infatuation on the hole and around the area. When I say the polish healed itself, I mean the coat that I filled the hole with melted seamlessly into the rest of the polish on my nail, even though it was already dry. Fascinating? Well, it is to me, especially since I am the QUEEN of ruining nails 10 seconds after finishing them, ha! So these beauties might cost $10.50 at your local Sephora, but I'd definitely pick up more shades.

I AM ONLY HUMAN | SUNDAY SIT DOWN

In the past 28 years that I've been alive, I have a accumulated quite a few experiences. Many good, many not so great, and some devastating. We all have a past, baggage that we wish no one knew about, things that we are ashamed of. I'm here to say - it's okay. It's okay, because the past is what made us who we are today. It has made us stronger, even if we don't realize it. Our past experiences have helped shape us, but they do not define us. Everyone has made more mistakes than they can keep track of. It's just a part of being human, and we are all only human. 

I'm thinking of sharing a bit more about my experiences in the coming months, so let me know if that's something you would be interested in. I had an overwhelmingly amazing response to my post on Depression and one of my latest Instagram posts - 20 Facts About Me, so thank you all for that. It made me realize that it's okay to share more of me than what I already do, and that this connection that I've made with you all is real and quite amazing. 

Again, I want to feature my amazing friend Melanie and her campaign called #RealSkinRevolution. It really has got me thinking about taking the time to love myself more than I do. There's a wonderful little Facebook Group for the campaign that you can join here, if you're interested in meeting amazing girls from all over the world and sharing with us. Melanie has brought us together, and it is such a wonderful thing she is doing for girls (and guys) everywhere!

HOW TO DEPOT SLEEK EYESHADOWS

How to Depot Sleek Eyeshadows. I had a really hard time finding a tutorial to help me depot my Sleek palettes, so I figured why not make one. It might help someone, you never know. Many people use heat to melt the glue on their eyeshadow pans, but when I tried it, it was too slow, and I'm really bad with heat, so to save myself some physical pain, I resorted to the tools that my daddy taught me how to use - a hammer and a screwdriver. Told you I was pretty handy ;)

HOW TO DEPOT SLEEK EYESHADOW PALETTES

First, LOOK AT THOSE COLORS! AHHH! Ok, I'm done. 

I used a MAC Pro Palette Large Duo ($8), and it comes with a clear divider in between to separate and protect your products. I really like how it turned out, and even though I did crack a few shadows during my experimentation phase, I'm ok with it. As I said in the video, this is meant for budget shadows that you won't be afraid of losing or breaking, so keep that in mind.

BUTTER LONDON NAIL POLISH IN SHAG | NOTW

Butter London Nail Polish in Shag. My first Butter London nail polish leans more towards autumnal shades (as promised). Shag is a gorgeous shimmery copper that makes my fingers feel like shiny new pennies. At $15 a pop, Butter London polishes are not cheap, however, I do have my eye on a few shades that I can't find anywhere else, so I might just have to pick those up too.

The formula is good and applies smoothly. The brush somehow applies just the right amount of polish, scraping off the excess as you lift it off your nail. I did this slowly just to be sure, and it was pretty cool. I didn't have gloopy nails for once. It could be a fluke or my overactive imagination, but it was nice nonetheless. I'm quite happy with it. UPDATES AND RANDOM BANTER | SUNDAY SIT DOWN

Currently, it is Monday morning, the time I usually write these Sunday posts, since for most of the rest of the world, it is still Sunday. Today, I thought I'd just ramble on a bit about life, because why not, right? We're all friends, and we like to know how each other is doing, so be sure to share with me what's going on with you as well :).

MOVING.

In less than a year, my family will be relocating to Washington state. I used to live there when I was 14 and then again when I turned 18, so I'm familiar with the place, and a lot of my relatives are there including my older sister. We will be staying with my very close cousin who has always been like a sister to me, so I'm excited about it. It's scary to be bringing a whole family up there, but I'm looking forward to the changes in weather, people, culture, and so much more. 

LIFE.

I've been extra stressed lately, as you can see in my lack of videos and blog posts. Work has been stressing me out along with school, and I'm just trying to keep it together. My work project is ending soon, so I'll be looking for a new job within the next month. Hopefully it won't take too long so that I can keep saving up for our big move.

GLAMGLOW SUPERMUD CLEARING TREATMENT REVIEW

GLAMGLOW SUPERMUD. Another GLAMGLOW mask, and it is the coveted SUPERMUD mask - the one that sucks all the gunk out of your face and leaves behind a nice, smooth complexion. Perfect for acne prone skin, oily skin, and large pores. SUPERMUD is a thick dark gray creme applied to the skin as a whole mask or as a spot treatment. After the mask has dried, rinse off, and pores will be visibly smaller, and blemishes will diminish in redness and in size. It may take a few treatments to completely heal a blemish, but 3-5 days is better than 2 weeks, at least I think so, since my pimples tend to hang out for a pretty long time leaving behind hyperpigmentation to remind me of the misery. 

GLAMGLOW SUPERMUD

After using the SUPERMUD mask, my skin felt tighter and my pores were much less visible. I don't suffer from blemishes very much (only during that time of the month), so I was more concerned about the size of my pores and the oiliness around my t-zone. You can see in the photos above where the mask has dried on and around my nose. The black spots are oil spots and blackheads that the mask has sucked out of my skin. Gross, right? BUT mission accomplished. Also, I tried this on my husband who has extremely oily skin and really large pores. His skin afterwards was just as glowy as mine. 

Now begs the question - is it worth the $69 price tag? As always, with these things, it really depends on your skin type. What works for me, might not work for you.
